Polytechnic (Diploma in Engineering) 3 साल का course है जो 10th pass के बाद किया जा सकता है। इसके बाद B.Tech 2nd year में lateral entry मिलती है। PWD, BSEB, NHAI में Junior Engineer की नौकरी मिलती है। Government polytechnic में fees बहुत कम है — Bihar DCECE से सस्ती सीट पाएं।
10th Pass with minimum 35% marks in any recognized board
Junior Engineer in PWD/BSEB/NHAI, Factory Supervisor, Technical Assistant, ITI Instructor. Diploma holders can directly enter 2nd year B.Tech (Lateral Entry). Government jobs via BSSC and SSC JE after diploma.

Bihar DCECE (Diploma) for govt polytechnic. Direct admission at private polytechnic colleges.
